Throat clearing

2021—2022

oil, acrylic, ink, nut wood, tempera, charcoal, chalk

canvas, wood panel, paper

Throat clearing is a metaphor for the momentary state before speaking. The conditions for articulation are created by clearing the throat. I was a bit like that at the very beginning of my creative journey. In September 2021, I was accepted to the Buda School of Drawing for evening classes in painting. During my time there, my painting and drawing skills have improved a lot, thanks to the high quality of the education I received. During my training, I learned several painting techniques such as ink, watercolor, tempera and acrylic techniques, as well as drawing from life. I count this period from the time I spent at the drawing school. It has become a specific goal of mine to combine the visible object(s) with a kind of inner reality, filtered through the emotions within me.
