Cubiculation

I was influenced by cubism and, in general, the avant-garde painting movements and styles. I was particularly attracted to the formal dynamism and intensity of Cubism. I consider the Cubiculation series to be a study series. The main aim of these paintings was to master thr mode of geometric abstract expression. At this point in my progress, I did not have a specific message to convey, but gradually, over the course of each work in the series, I began to feel this desire. For example, the painting Leukaemia is a work about my stepsister's illness, which I created with a specific purpose.
